On August 15, 1970, Anthony Anderson was born and grew up in Compton, California. His most notable role is as a comedian in “black-ish.”
His mother was Doris Bowman, a telephone operator, and social worker; his father was Sterling Bowman, who worked as a steel mill shipping clerk.
